Childcare is available in the private sector for children up to school age. Kindergarten begins at the age of 4 however full time schooling does not begin until the age of 5 and is not compulsory until the age of 5.
- Junior Schools provide Reception – Yr 6 or 7 depending on the State
- High School is Yr 7 or 8 through to Yr 10
- Senior School is years 11 & 12
- Tertiary options include University, Technical Colleges and Institutes
Schooling is based on 4 x10 week terms with the summer holidays over the December January period.
